We have transferred the hibiscus flowers and parrots adorning a light window (circa 1910–20) in The Met collection to a beautiful cloisonné ornament for the house. This Favrile stained glass window designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) showcases the designer's mastery of color, texture and light to render pictorial drama and depth. The secular theme and small size of the window suggest that it was intended for a domestic space. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
