This t-shirt was created for the "Gertrude Stein et Pablo Picasso L'invention du langage" exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg from September 13, 2023 to January 28, 2024.

The title is inspired by one of Stein's most famous quotations: "Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose". First appearing in a poem entitled Sacred Emily (1913), the first "Rose" was originally the name of a person. The expression grew to mean "things are what they are". This motif is characteristic of the modernist vision of their time and has been integrated into contemporary popular culture.
