Iakovides painted the theme of the children's concert for the first time in 1894 and exhibited the painting for the first time in an exhibition in Munich (1894). Here the children perform their concert for the grandmother and not for the mother with the little girl. The older little girl in front of the window is also in this painting. But the boy with the watering can is missing. This painting was exhibited for the second time in Athens in 1896 during the first Olympic Games (1896). Its colors, compared to the 1900 variant, are noticeably darker and colder... In the 1900 painting everything becomes bright and the grandmother's annoyance is replaced by the happy beautiful face of the young mother with the little girl...
