These superb models have always been considered true historic vehicles, built from A to Z with one goal in mind: excellence. As impressive as they were then, they are still, even in reduced models, as sought-after and exclusive.

RENAULT 2T5 FIREMEN 1957

The Renault 1,000 kg or 2T5 is a cab-forward motor vehicle manufactured by Renault. It was part of a series of vans sold from February 1947 to 1965. Previewed at the end of 1946 under the factory code R206 E1, the Renault 2T5 was the best-selling van in its category in the 1950s.

Unlike its main French competitor, the Citroën Type H, the Renault van retains a classic architecture, transmission shaft for propulsion to the rear wheels with rigid axle, two rigid axles with semi-elliptical spring suspensions, separate beam chassis in steel which gives it additional robustness in the face of the load.

Nevertheless, the first models, until 1950, have a wooden frame and are fragile. Its handicap compared to a front-wheel drive monocoque like the H type is its higher empty weight and a much higher loading threshold.

During its long career, the Renault 2T5 underwent many modifications, sheet metal, reversal of the door opening direction, original suicides, front bumpers, lights, indicators, rear police plate and decorations.

Collector's model all metal, scale 1/57th, length 13 cm, delivered in blister pack.
