In 1929, he was elected as a professor at the School of Fine Arts, a position he held until 1953. In 1959 he was elected a member of the Academy of Athens. The artist painted mostly portraits, landscapes and sensual nudes in interiors. He also portrayed many battles of the Greek-Italian war, which now are displayed at the War Museum.
